1. Service Description
Brigher Space Counselling provides professional counselling services to individuals, couples, and teens across Australia, delivered primarily via secure online video platforms. These services are not a substitute for medical or psychiatric care.
2. Eligibility

You must be aged 18 or over to book a session for yourself.

If you are booking on behalf of a minor (aged 17 years or less), you must be their parent or legal guardian and provide consent.

Counselling services are only available to clients residing in Australia.
3. Payment Terms

Full payment is required at the time of booking to confirm your appointment.

Payments are processed securely via our third-party payment providers (e.g., Stripe, Wix Payments, PayPal).

All prices are listed in AUD and inclusive of GST, where applicable.
4. Cancellation & Refund Policy

You may cancel or reschedule your session with a minimum of 24 hours’ notice.

Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice or non-attendance will incur a 100% cancellation fee (no refund).

Refunds for eligible cancellations will be processed to the original payment method within 3–5 business days.
5. Confidentiality

All sessions are confidential and your personal information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Exceptions to confidentiality apply in situations where:

There is risk of harm to yourself or others

Child protection concerns are present

Disclosure is required by law (e.g., court order)

6. Client Responsibilities

Ensure you are in a private, quiet location with a stable internet connection for online sessions.

Attend sessions on time. Sessions cannot be extended due to late arrival.

Be respectful, honest, and cooperative during sessions.
7. Therapist Rights

Brigher Space Counselling reserves the right to decline or terminate services if:

A client is under the influence of drugs/alcohol during sessions

A client displays abusive or threatening behaviour
-
There is a conflict of interest or scope-of-practice limitation

8. Technology & Online Delivery

We use secure platforms for video sessions; however, clients are responsible for their own internet connectivity.

In the rare case of a technical issue, we will attempt to reschedule or continue the session by phone.
9. Limitation of Liability

Brigher Space Counselling accepts no liability for outcomes outside the therapeutic setting or for services beyond the agreed session scope.

Counselling outcomes vary between individuals and are influenced by multiple factors, including client participation and external circumstances.
10. Changes to Terms

These Terms and Conditions may be updated from time to time. Clients will be notified of major changes via email or website update.
