1. Do you accept private health insurance?
Yes, we offer private health insurance rebates with eligible providers. Rebates vary depending on your fund and level of cover, so please check directly with your insurer to confirm your eligibility.

2. What can I expect in my first session?
Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other. We'll explore what’s brought you to counselling, your goals, and how I can best support you. You’re welcome to ask questions at any time — it’s a space that’s entirely yours.

3. How are sessions run?
Sessions are conducted in person at our Essendon Clinic or online. You’ll need a private, quiet space and a stable internet connection for online sessions.

4. How long is a counselling session?
Each session runs for about 45 minutes. Most clients attend weekly or fortnightly, depending on their preferences and needs.

5. What issues can I talk about in counselling?
You’re welcome to talk about anything that matters to you. Common topics include anxiety, low mood, relationship issues, stress, grief, identity, parenting, burnout, and life transitions. There’s no right or wrong reason to come to counselling.

6. Do you accept Mental Health Care Plans (MHCPs)?
No, we do not accept Mental Health Care Plans or offer Medicare rebates.

7. What is your cancellation policy?
Cancellations with less than 24 hours’ notice incur a full session fee. This policy ensures that we can offer the time to someone else who may be waiting.

8. Is counselling confidential?
Yes. What you share in counselling is confidential. The only exceptions are where there is a legal obligation to share information — for example, if someone is at risk of serious harm. You can read more in our Privacy Policy.

9. Do I need a referral from a GP?
No referral is needed. You can reach out and book directly.

Would you like me to also make a shorter version of the new Question 1 (for use on social media or website highlights), so it’s really clear and client-friendly?
